Caroline & Leah's Wedding Fundraiser for SisTers PGH

SisTers PGH is a Black- and trans-led nonprofit that serves the trans and gender non-conforming communities in the greater Pittsburgh area. Having grown up outside of Pittsburgh and being nonbinary themself, this organization is near and dear to Caroline's heart. Trans folks, particularly trans people of color, have incredibly high rates of homelessness, housing insecurity, and unemployment due to the systemic barriers they face. The leaders at SisTers PGH are working with and for their community to provide affordable and stable housing, educational opportunities, and legal assistance in getting gender-affirming name changes so that trans folks in Pittsburgh can survive and thrive. This is the exact kind of organization that Leah and Caroline both try to support- one run by members of the community it is serving and that provides some of the life- and system-changing resources the community needs.
